At Emotify we believe that Emotions can be the best way to engage people online and we have been constantly working to build Emotify as the best user engagement tool. This smart reaction and re-engagement tool adds a whole new dimension to the way your audience interact and engage with your website. In our previous article, we described Emotify widget and its features. Here we’ll be shedding light upon the other important part – Emotify Dashboard.
All the registered users of Emotify have access to our comprehensive dashboard to manage, monitor and customize Emotify for their website and help them get the best out their website and audience. We have designed our dashboard keeping the principles of simplicity and ease of use at its core. In our previous post, we gave a comprehensive introduction of Emotify Reaction Widget. Let me introduce you to the various components and features of Emotify Dashboard to help you succeed with Emotify.
The Dashboard Home is the place where you’d land after login. It’ll give you the glimpse of the Emotify data, links to other sections of the dashboard and have some key actions. You can see some key numbers such as the number of stories, reactions, re-engagements and shares in last 30 days on the selected website. On Dashboard Home you can also see the reaction feed of the website and you can moderate the reaction feed by removing unsuitable reactions from the feed. It also provides you with the option to switch between websites and add new websites from the top-left menu. You can also get the quick access to billing details and set-up options from Home.
Reaction feed is a real-time feed of all the text reactions submitted on a website. This feed appears on your website (if enabled) and also on Dashboard Home. It’s a great way to engage readers with other stories on your websites. You can also moderate this feed from Dashboard and control what’s visible on your website. In order to remove any reaction from Reaction feed simply hover your mouse on the reaction and click delete icon.
Story Specific Insights
This is the most important section of Emotify Dashboard where you can see the complete user reactions and engagement data specific to the stories published on your website. It also consists of some important actions to customize Emotify for specific stories. Here is a brief explanation of various data and actions:
- Filter and Sort Stories: You can filter the stories in Story list based on data range from calendar and sort stories by various parameters such as Date-Time, Reactions, Re-engagements and Emotify Score.
- Aggregate Data: Once you click on any story, you’ll see the Emotify data of that story in right side panel. There on top you’ll see three key data viz Reaction count, Re-engagements count, and Emotify Score.
- Reaction Breakdown: In this section, you can see the count of all the reactions submitted on the selected story. This is also designed to show you the active reactions on this story at the moment.
- Reaction Distribution: This is a pie chart of all the reactions submitted on the selected story. This gives you a fair idea of the overall feeling of people about the news/story.
- Emotify Share Data: Here you can see the number of reactions shared on social media for the selected story.
- Text Reactions: At the bottom of story data panel you’ll see all the text reactions submitted on the selected story. These reactions are aggregated in tabs based on their reaction.
- Customize Smart Reaction: In Reaction Distribution section, click on the small Edit button in front of Smart Reactions label to open reaction customization box. (More on this below)
- Change Reaction Set Order: You can change the order of appearance of Smart and Classic reaction set by selecting in the dropdown menu on Reaction Breakdown bar. By default Smart set appears first.
- Visit link and Archive Story: When you hover on the stories in the list two small action icons appear. One is to open the story in a new tab and another one to archive that story on Emotify so that the Emotify widget does not appear on that link. (More on this below)
Measure the emotional impact of your stories through our effective algorithm that provides a comprehensive impact score of your stories, the Emotify Score. The Emotify score is a multipoint metric and takes into account multiple parameters like the number of reactions, re-engagements, text reactions, share, time etc to measure the relative influence of the stories compared to the others in a 30 day period.
Customize Smart Reactions
Emotify reaction widget consists of Classic and Smart reaction sets. Classic set is a set of fixed 6 reactions aimed towards covering and full emotion range whereas Smart set consists of 6 finely chosen reactions (out of 21 available reactions), most suitable for the context of the story. These reactions are selected by our machine learning algorithms and are aimed to be precise and accurate. If you find that the Smart reaction set on a certain story is not suitable you can always customize that from the Stories dashboard. Simply head to Stories section of the dashboard, click on the story you want to customize smart reaction for and click the small Edit button in front of Smart Reactions in Reaction Breakdown section. It’ll open the reaction customization box where you can drag any active reaction out and drag in the reactions of your choice, hit Save when you are done. You must have 6 active reactions in the set before saving.
Want a story without the Emotify widget? We give you the option of Archiving stories and links, which makes the Emotify widget not appear on that page. To archive a story head to the Story section, hover your mouse on any story in the stories list and click archive icon. Alternatively, you can also archive any link by directly adding it in Archive tab of the Settings page. The archived links are saved in a separate Archive tab of Settings page on the dashboard, from where it can be restored again with the widget features, as and when required.
Website Emotion Analytics
Emotify provides you with consolidated data on various audience engagement metrics through Emotion Analytics. Simply head to Analytics section of the dashboard and get the daily, weekly or monthly insights of the reaction count, text reactions, re-engagements, and share. You can also filter these data based on date range with inbuilt calendar input. This data can help you measure and improves the user engagement, impact, content visibility, audience interaction and read time.
Emotify provides various ways to customize the widget to match the look and feel of your website. It gives you options to change the look of the widget as per website theme and enable/disable Emotify widget features as per your requirement. It also has a smart Widget Preview to see the results of customization in real-time before saving the changes and ensure the suitability of customization.
Multiple Language Support
At Emotify we celebrate the diversity of language over the internet. To ensure the fully native experience of Emotify on our users’ website, the widget supports multiple languages. Currently, we support English, French, german and Spanish. Soon you’ll see more language options. In order to select the language of your choice, simply head to Widget Settings tab in Setting section and select the language from the dropdown.
Setting up Emotify on your website is a quick and simple process and hardly takes a few minutes. Emotify is already available on major publishing platforms like WordPress, Tumblr, and Ghost and also provides universal Web/JS setup option. After adding any website on Emotify you’ll be automatically re-directed to the Setup section, simply choose the platform there and follow the instructions given. You can always access the Setup section on the Settings page of the dashboard.
Add Multiple Website
Managing multiple websites from the same account has never been simpler. You can add as many websites you want and manage them from a single account. On the Dashboard Home, you can find options to add new websites in the top-left menu or at the bottom of the home. Select add-website option, provide some key website details, install the set-up and you are good to go.
Invite and Manage Team
For bigger publishers, Emotify provides an option to add the team members to manage the websites effectively. Head to the Team section in the Settings, invite your team members and assign them the access to websites as per your need. They’ll be able to manage and monitor Emotify for the assigned websites from their respective accounts.
